Front Royal to Ohiopyle

After Shenandoah we drove North West leaving Virginia and pass briefly through West Virgina and Maryland on our way to Pennsylvania. Along the way we saw the Paw Paw tunnel - not super exciting but a kinda cool tunnel dug in the 1830s/1840s to reroute the Potomac River in Allegheny County, Maryland.

Ohiopyle is a little (very little) town on the Youghiogheny river in tucked into the Ohiopyle State Forest.  The town is a draw for white water rafting and cycling. It has a great little bakery and just happens to have a couple of amazing Frank Lloyd Wright houses nearby - Kentuck Knob (aka the Hagan House) and the Kaufmann House aka Fallingwater
